TANK CLEANING

When I do tank cleaning, there is usually no need to empty your water tank!

In fact my process needs water in your tank, which can be partially or completely full.

Usually only using about 30-60cm (1-2 feet) of water, I efficiently remove the sludge on the tank floor. And there is no down time so you can still use your water while I am working!

Would you use the water on the left in your home?

Many are unaware that water tank cleaning should be done every few years.

Silt and debris from roof tops, bores and creeks builds up over time until it reaches your outlet and comes through your taps.

Sludge and sediment poses a real risk of damaging pumps, washing machines and seals on toilets. And if the water is used in the kitchen, could pose a health risk.

With no down time and minimal water loss, I vacuum the tank floor without stirring up the water. I can get your water tank cleaned while you are still using the water.

If you have concerns about the quality of your water, I can also safely sanitise the water.

Slim line / Space Saving Tank Cleaning

Space saving water tanks are generally installed in residential areas as a water-wise measure for use in the laundry and bathroom.

These are a handy size but with a smaller floor area, sediment build up reaches the outlet much quicker than in a larger tank.

It is therefore very important they are checked regularly in line with the recommended maintenance schedule and cleaned when sediment can be seen.

You may find cleaning is required more often than the recommended two to three years and due to the shape of some slimline tanks, they may need to be drained to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned.
